“Dobermann puppy for sale!” – there are so many ads online and on social media promoting cute puppy pictures. But what we’ve seen these social media sales lead to are dogs bred for money to prey on unaware buyers. False pedigrees, deformed and malnutritioned puppies, high health risk breedings, sickly dogs, and heartbroken owners. That’s not the dog world we want to live in!
This blog was created to educate buyers and to steer them into the right direction. But it wasn’t enough. It’s not about finding a reputable breeder, it’s about understanding the risks they are taking in each breeding. (read about Doberman breeding philosophy for more information).
Together with several Dobermann enthusiasts from various countries, we offer our knowledge to prevent potential buyers from making poor choices and contributing to a vicious cycle of dogs bred for death.
On this page we will be posting litters that we consider lower health risk, litters that we believe were bred for health, longevity, and breed preservation. We will only post litters that we’ve reviewed the pedigrees of, have seen required health documentation, and have been in direct contact with the breeder. (Read How to find a breeder in Europe – for more information about our selecting criteria).
Every selected buyer will be provided with a detailed explanation of the heredity in the pedigree of a prospective puppy. You will be buying directly from the breeder.
We can’t guarantee that every puppy will be free from genetic conditions common to Dobermans (read more about Doberman Genetic Diseases). But we aim to significantly improve your chances of getting a healthier dog.
