Altobello Dobermann kennel review
Below is a review for the Altobello Dobermann kennel in Serbia. It is written by a guest writer, who traveled to Serbia in spring 2017 and personally visited this kennel. I am very grateful to this dedicated person for sharing his review on my blog.
The Altobello Dobermann kennel has a lot of dogs and is the largest kennel I’ve visited so far. Dejan Malbasa is the breeder and owner of the kennel and is very friendly. He calls his kennel a Dobermann Kingdom.
Altobello Dobermann kennel has an impressive history that you can read about on their website. This kennel started as a family doberman kennel, overcoming difficulties of war in Yugoslavia, immigration to Montenegro, and a tragic loss of the original dogs of the kennel. Dejan is the second owner of the Altobello kennel. He had to rebuild the Altobello name in Serbia.
The property of the kennel has some impressive dobermann statues at the entrance gate. There are many very nice paintings and artwork throughout the entire kennel. It includes countless trophies that Altobello Dobermanns have won at the shows over the years.
Dejan explained that he is extremely busy with the upcoming show and needs to make travel arrangements for dogs. He was on the phone most of the time during my visit and excused himself twice to run some errands.
Dejan shared an impressive story with me about one of his dogs. One of his females had a very difficult surgery and had no hope for recovery. Dejan saved her life, while everyone else had already given up on her. That female was roaming next to us during the tour through the Altobello kennel. Dejan proudly shared the plans for the next improvements at the property and the construction of his new home.
